I Want To Lose Weight Safely….?

November 9th, 2009 by Leave a reply »

I have gained about 100 lbs in the last 7 years. I have finally gotten to the point where I cant stand it anymore!!! I have a 3 year old daughter and yesterday I was told by my doctor that I may have pre-diabetes……This really has impacted me and now I want to lose it and become healthy again. I know that there has to be dietetic food that is good and satisfying but I dont know what to eat throughout the day. Does anyone know a good diet/exercise plan that can get me to lose about 10 lbs a month? ~ fatty girl

    Hi Kelly,
I am a 16 year old male, I used to weigh 324 in Feb 2007, and now I weigh 225 pounds, I lost 100 pounds! Yes I feel happy and all, but let me tell you. The work is not going to be easy and not hard, it all depends on you.
Here is what I did, first I ordered a work out video and did that daily for a month (did it with my little nephews, they had fun doing it) I did it daily, then I moved on to walking outside for 30 minutes at a “I can’t maintain a conversation” rate. You could do this with your kids as well.
Then after doing this for 2-3 months, start jogging (not too fast, not too slow) set a goal though. (1 mile a day or 2 miles), obviously you can walk when you get tired, but the point is to keep your hear rate up for 30 minutes or longer.
And here is the hard part, STAY AWAY from fast food restaurants! Don’t go on a diet, just change your diet. Maintain portions, set little goes for yourself everyday. Eventually you will eat properly in about 4 months.
This is all patience, but for the 100 pound weight loss, I can’t assure that for you, because your a female. Females tend to loose weight A LOT more slower then men.
Anyways, best of luck on your journey!

First.. DO NOT CALL YOURSELF fatty girl. You are a beautiful person. Do not label yourself. Love who you are even if you are overweight. Second, you have to start working out. This is the only thing that is going to get you to loose weight. It really took me a long time to really stick to a plan, but I did it! If I can, you can. You need to jog and do some weight lifting. This is all it will take to get you to lose weight. What I did was get in my car and clock how far it was around my neighborhood. Then I started. I jogged as far as I could then I would stop and as soon as I felt better, i’d start again. Music helps and when you get into your second week, you feel like you have to work out. So, just have a talk w/ yourself and really start thinking about how good you would feel if you started to lose weight. Think about the clothes you would wear, think about the guys that would look and most important… Think about getting RID if diabetes. You CAN do this! Just start tomorrow, even if it raining outside. o NOT let anything stop you>>>>>>>>

my mom is a diabetic so our family has become accustomed to splenda and diet products . Which I have to say are very good now. There are so many good s/f items now versus when my mom first was diagnosed. Eat healthy , I wouldnt dare tell you to give up food because you have to eat to maintain blood sugar levels , exercise and the weight will go away .This site might help.

    Wal-Mart Testing Supplieshttp://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d…
One diabetic strategy is to consume very small low-carbohydrate portions about every hour. Calculate approximate daily calorie consumption for weight loss objectives.http://health.howstuffworks.com/question…
Wal-Mart sells a 16-ounce bag of World Kitchens beef jerky for around $8.50 . . cut up and weigh 1-ounce portions. String cheese sticks. Jennie-O turkey franks. 1-ounce portions (around 1/3 cup) of snack mix made from 1-part party peanuts, 1-part small crushed corn chips, and 2-parts no-sugar puffed wheat. Sam’s caffeine-free diet cola has zero carbs, calories, and sodium. Blend sugar-free pudding powder with water and low-carb (4 grams) vanilla yogurt instead of milk for 1/2 cup servings. For a sugar-free slushie, blend around 1-1/4 cup A&W diet root beer, 1/2 cup vanilla pudding, and 6 ice cubes. Prepare 1/2 cup portions of sugar-free jello in 1-cup containers, and top with a 1/4 inch layer of vanilla pudding when served. Chocolate pudding makes good fudge pops.http://www.amazon.com/o/ASIN/B000G32H3Y/…http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/1294/…
Wal-Mart sells round screw-together containers in the craft bead section which are suitable for take-along beef jerky and peanut portions.
Might also consider taking a daily multi-vitamin and 81mg aspirin (if not adverse).
