Here are some tried and true ways I’ve found on how to loose 10 pounds in a few weeks. Most of the methods for quick weight loss involve healthy eating recipes, exercise, reducing calorie intake and even low fat, low carb diets. Your body weight consists of water, lean tissues (e.g. muscle, bones), and fat.  so you need to know the difference between losing weight from water loss, lean tissue loss or fat loss. Losing weight from water loss is the quickest way to lose a few pounds but you’ll put that back on very quickly. Muscles weight more than fat but if you lose muscles, your body metabolism will slow down and you’ll gain fat faster. So that’s why in addition to dieting, many people exercise or do weight training to tone and build muscles. So ideally, the best way to lose weight is to lose 10 lbs of fat and as little muscle tissue as possible.

Simple Weight Loss Plan

  • Cut your calories intake to 1500-1700. Keep away from fried foods and salty foods as well as anything with high fructose corn syrup (basically, any real sugar and artificial sweeteners)
  • Start doing some cardio vascular exercises like jogging, running or brisk walking at least 30 mins 3-5 times a week.
  • Depending on how overweight you are, you can lose 10 pounds the first 2 weeks easily.
  • Eat more fiber and drink 8 glasses of water, which will help fill you up and help your metabolism.
  • Keep a diary of daily food intake.
  • And finally, try to enlist a friend to do the diet with you, it makes it easier to stick to it if both people have to be accountable to each other.
